Designer Tran Phuong Hoa (in black) brought her new collection to Paris Fashion Week.
The photoshoot had international models in Hoa’s silk wedding dresses amid under 2-degree weather at locations filled with tourists like Concorde Square and Opéra Garnier.
The “Thuong” collection’s 15 designs were completed by Hoa in six months. With a desire to create sustainable fashion wear by using natural and environmentally friendly materials, Hoa uses linen, Lanh My A silk, organza, satin, chiffon and mulberry silk, with modern 3D rendering techniques as well as pleating and beading.
Hoa traveled to a fabric workshop in Tan Chau Commune in southern Vietnam’s An Giang Province to order special fabrics for her new collection.
The dresses present a modern and romantic beauty.
Among the group of talented international models, Hoa collaborated with the 15-year-old French-born Vietnamese model Khanh Vy for her show at Paris Fashion Week.
Khanh Vy wore a modern fishtail wedding dress design with a collar inspired by Vietnam’s traditional ao dai.
